Yesterday I started my training for the 15K. I made a schedule using the Smart Coach tool on runnersworld.com.

My first run was an "easy" 4 mile at a slow 10:41 pace. I decided to incorporate some hills into the run, since the hills at the last 10K kicked my butt. Well, these were no different! My butt was adequately kicked yet again. Running outside is definitely different than the treadmill, but ultimately I think it will be much better training.

As for the remainder of the week, I have a tempo run, another easy run, and a long run (8 miles). I'm headed up to Indiana for a wedding this weekend so I will have to find time to squeeze all those in!
