Tempo Run

Well... I was supposed to run 5 miles this morning; 1 mile warm up, 3 miles at a 9:04 minute mile, and a mile cool down. I decided to be charitable and bring the dog with me. My dog is a lovely... hmmm... that isn't the word... my dog has character. The longest she has ever gone with me is 3 miles, but that was when it was much cooler.

I ran the mile warmup easily, but when it came to trying to run the tempo miles, well, Blue had other ideas. My pace ended up being around 11 MINUTE MILES for only 2.75 miles. Needless to say, I will probably be hitting the gym after work to try some 9:04 minute miles after work.
